Our Company History

Founded in 1972, Worley Machine is a veteran-owned, family operated business. After 50 years of success Worley Machine has grown into a company with 45 employees and a state-of-the-art 66,000 square foot facility.  We have recently purchased a 77,000 sq ft facility beside us and are currently expanding operations to a 2nd location.

The company was started by the current owner Donald (Don) C. Worley and his two brothers in the back of an old apple barn. In 1977, a newer 5,000 square foot facility was built near the original barn on family land. Don took sole ownership of the company in the early-1980s and in 1984 the current facility was built in Woolwine, Va., along Hwy 8 to access three phase power. The current facility has taken on nine expansions since 1984. In the mid-1990s Don brought three of his children into the business and today those children run the day-to-day operations of Worley Machine. Since the second generation joined the business, dramatic growth has occurred. Worley Machine has increased in sales volume each of the past five years and the company’s customer base has increased by 300 percent. Worley Machine has grown because we offer quality service at competitive prices. We also have one of the best shop rates in the Mid-Atlantic. We provide customers a niche in the manufacturing arena. We can machine small to medium lots at very competitive prices and high volume production. We can also offer better quality, expedited service, and lower freight costs’ than overseas manufacturing.

Our Goal

Our company motto is “Performance thru Innovation” because our facility is filled with multi-axis CNC equipment to eliminate setups and increase processing time.
